Costa Rica’s Mesoamerica has acquired an 85% share of Colombian company OMA, a cafe and restaurant chain.

The acquisition of 85% of the shares of OMA, a traditional family company specializing in cafes, restaurants and the sale of packaged coffee, was made through Mesofoods. Enrique Martignon and his family, the founders of OMA, retained 15% of the shares and a place on the board.
Authorities from both countries will meet to find a solution to the conflict caused by the tariffs imposed on textiles and footwear from the CFZ.
"... The government of that country and Colombia will meet in the next few days in order to try to reach an agreement and resolve the situation over tariffs, which has caused losses to the Colon Free Zone (CFZ) in the Central American nation" , reported Portafolio.co.
The continent which is the original home of the Cocoa plant has a great opportunity if the quality of the grain it produces can be joined with European methods for the manufacture of chocolate.
