The Guatemalan government seeks to provide security at different offices of the Ministry of Education, to be provided from June to December 2022.

"The Ministry of Education requires security and surveillance service for different central plant facilities, warehouses and offices during June to December 2022.
The National Institute of Professional Training and Qualification for Human Development, tenders the private security and surveillance services for 22 centers, for a period of 12 months.
Panama Government Purchase 2020-1-37-0-99-LV-014458:
"This surveillance service has a night schedule of twelve (12) hours (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) from Monday to Friday and twenty-four (24) hours on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and national days of mourning.
Alleging that they have received complaints of violations of workers' rights, the government announced that in the coming days they will conduct inspections in security companies and restaurants.
Prosegur Cash has announced an agreement with Grupo Alamo to acquire its operations in Central America in the activity of transportation of securities, operated under the brands Proval and Transval.

The activities of Proval and Transval in the latest tax year available represented a turnover of close to 40 million US dollars.
Transporte Masivo de Panamá is putting out to tender the services of surveillance, custody and control of access to the different courtyards belonging to the institution.
Panama Government Purchase 2018-2-81-01-08-LV-000168:
"Characteristics of the Physical Surveillance Service: Guards must have a firearm allowed by Law 57 of May 27, 2011 and Law 56 of May 30, 2011, which regulatesprivate security services.(A valid copy of the respective permit must be carried). They must have a hand torch, whistle, record book and other tools to efficiently perform their service (allowed by law). The supplier must provide these supplies without additional cost during the term of the contract.
The loan proceeds signed with the CABEI will go towards the construction of police stations, purchase of safety equipment and vehicles and improving the capacity of criminal investigation.
From a statement issued by the Presidency of El Salvador:
San Salvador May 24, 2016.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Government of El Salvador today signed a loan amounting to US $100 million that will facilitate priority investments in infrastructure, basic and specialized police equipment which will increase the coverage of public safety services, reducing crime rates and violence by improving operational capacity and responsiveness.
The Institute of Aqueducts and Sewage in Panama wishes to hire private security services for its facilities.
Panama Government Purchase 2016-2-66-0-99-LV-010587:
"The main task is to prevent the entry of unauthorized personnel and in general anyone suspected of violating the properties and facilities of the IDAAN.
The Security Service must secure access points to the offices in question, making rounds as described, attend instructions of the Head of the area of the IDAAN except for where the Security Agency has indicated, including weekends and holidays according to instructions from the Head of the IDAAN. Secure access points and take a daily log of visitors arriving at those offices. "
Limits to the number of contracted officers and other legal conditions are forcing large security companies to create smaller subsidiaries dedicated to providing services in specific areas.
So far this year 145 new security companies have registered with the Ministry of Public Security, about the same number of new businesses created during 2013, when there were 150.
Between 2003 and 2013 the number of registered services to provide private security companies increased 13 times.
A report by the Comptroller General of the Republic specifies that added to companies providing security services are also individuals registered as agents, which to date amounts to 29,582 people. The Comptroller noted that this rapid growth has created weaknesses in the supervision of this activity by the state, which does not have, according to the institution, sufficient resources to exercise proper control.
The growth in the supply of housing has led to an increase in demand for electronic security systems.
" ... The residential sector needs physical security (surveillance) , electric fences, alarm systems and camera systems, but not all homes have them. Consumption is focussed on alarm and response systems," said Lilliam Jerez, deputy manager at the company Ultranic Security.
The Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers is putting out to tender a contract for Transport Services for Drinking Water to several areas in Panama.
The purpose of the tender is the procurement of transportation services, distribution and supply of drinking water using tankers in the areas: CHILIBRE, TOCUMEN, PACORA, ARRAIJAN, CHORRERA AND COLON PROVINCE.
The Joint Social Welfare Institute of Costa Rica is inviting bids for security and monitoring services for their facilities.

Since September 5new regulations have been in effect in Guatemala which, among other things, establishes mandatory certification for companies by the Ministry of Interior.
