During the first nine months of 2018, the country reported the arrival of three new foreign brand franchises, significantly below the 17 franchises registered in the same period last year.
In the last decade, 2017 was the year with the highest number of franchises, according to a report by the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce and the National Franchise Center.
Beginning today the company, which already had the distribution of BMW motorcycles, will begin selling cars as well.
The new representation is planning to move BMW’s central offices in Curridabat to a new location in La Uruca, in San José.
El Financiero’s website informs: “The old brand distributor was Euroautos, a Panamanian company…it will provide details about the acquisition of the new representation on July 8th.”
The business anticipates opening a new agency to assist clients in September.

The World Bank has designated Geoffrey Bergen as its new representative for Honduras, said sources from the organization.
World Bank vice-president for Latin America and the Caribbean, Pamela Cox, officiated at the Bergen's appointment and said that "with this appointment we are reiterating our commitment to the Government of Honduras to continue on with the National Strategic Plan and to strengthen our relationship with the Government.
