In addition to traditional mango exporters such as Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil and Guatemala, now India, Pakistan, and soon, Thailand will be exporting too.

The Mango industry has shown considerable growth in the last decade.Since 2005, the year of the creation of theNational Mango Board, volumes have increased by around 50%. "The value of the industry, however, has grown by 91 or 92% in that period," said Manuel Michel, from the National Mango Board.
In the last year, Peruvian fresh mango exports to North America, Asia and Europe grew by 21%.

The Commercial Office of Peru (OCEX) in Washington has announced that from the second half of 2015 Peruvian mangos and papayas will enter the US market, according to a report issued by the Department of Agriculture of the United States.
From January 4th this year exports will be permitted of Australian mangos to the North American country, with focus initially being given to the premium segment.

In the first four months of the year sales of mangos from Peru to the U.S., EU and Canada totaled $25 million.

The Association of Exporters in Peru said that during the first four months of the year Peruvian exports of mangoes (in all types of products) amounted to USD 165.2 million, which represented an increase of 25.7% compared to the same period in 2013.
The phytosanitary restriction imposed by the EU on fruit from India is generating shortages in a region where the UK is the largest consumer.

Phytosanitary restrictions imposed by the EU which are preventing the entry of mangos from India, which came into effect in May and will be in effect until at least December 2015, will force distributors and retailers to seek alternative sources for the product.
The Philippines have now received phytosanitary permits to export fresh mangoes to the United States from other regions in the country.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has permitted only the export of Philippine mangoes from the Guimaras Island, an island province in the Western Visayas region.
Fresh sliced or precut mango from Colombia is now allowed to enter the U.S. market.

The U.S. government, through its Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), has authorized the importation of fresh mangos in slices or precut form originating from Colombia.This acceptance was communicated to the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA), who look favorably on the resolution as it will allow the local industry to expand export opportunities for its product.
The U.S. government has given sanitation clearances which allows the importation of bananas and mangoes from the Philippines.

Clarito Barron, director of the Office of Philippino Agribusiness, stated that via the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) of the Department of Agriculture (USDA), they have been formally informed about the import regulations by which Philippine Cavendish bananas can be sent over in the first quarter.
The National Mango Board is actively working with chefs and foodservice operators to encourage the use of fresh mango in recipes.

A salmonella outbreak in Canada and the U.S. has been attributed to the consumption of Mexican mangoes, which has affected the confidence of this product in North America.
