Proposals for Balboa Shipyard RejectedMonday, April 2, 2012 The three companies that participated in the tender called by the Panama Maritime Authority have been disqualified for "not meeting requirements." The consortium Panamá Drydock, consortium Astillero del Pacífico (Astipac) and Talleres Dry Docks were the companies that did not meet the requirements for the award, according to an evaluation by the commission of the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP). Panama: 6 Companies Bid for Dredging in GatúnWednesday, June 2, 2010 6 companies bid for a contract which comprises widening and deepening the current navigation waterway at Gatún; it is part of the larger Panama Canal Expansion project. The companies interested in the contract are Dredging International, China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), Boskalis International, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock, Van Oord and Jan De Nul. The dredging project is another integral element of the Canal's Expansion Program.
