An announced has been made of a definitive deprogramming of the weekly flight that operated between Buenos Aires and Caracas, citing operational reasons.
Already in August the airline operating under the Argentine flag had announced the suspension of the tickets sales for this flight.Now the company has announced the deprogramming of its weekly flight in definitive form.
This year, the country went from exporting 14GW per hour between January and May to 35GW per hour in June and July, with the entry into force of the regulation on regional integration.
According to Jorge Alvarez, market manager of the Wholesale Market Administration (AMM by its initials in Spanish), in July 50 GWh were sold, and in the first 20 days of August 22 GWh have been exported.
The Venezuelan company, SB Airlines, announced the postponement of its first flight to Panama scheduled for August 1st.
The flight was rescheduled due to technicalities, according to Chary Araujo, Commercial Manager of SBA Panama.
Raúl A. Bernal writes for Prensa.com: “…this airline will open the route Panama-Caracas-Panama with a Boeing 757 with a capacity of 178 passengers. There will be two flights daily and only one on Saturdays.”
The Venezuelan Company announced that it will open the Panama-Caracas-Panama route beginning on July 1.
This is the first foreign airline to enter to compete in the local market this year.
Raul Carrillo reported statements by the airline's executive president, Jorge Alvarez Méndez, for Laestrella.com.pa: "This step is part of three-phase plan: First, strengthening SBA Airlines in its United States operations, second is opening flights to and from Europe and, finally, opening the Panama destination."
