With a runway of 1400 meters suitable for domestic flights, the airfield at Río Amarillo in Copan has started operations.

The President Juan Orlando Hernandez opened the Río Amarillo airport, 18 kilometers from the Copan ruins, which is now the second air terminal built under his administration, after the de Gracias airport in Lempira.
The inauguration scheduled for March 10th has revitalized investments in the tourism sector, while three airlines are interested in operating three weekly flights.
The Río Amarillo airfield is currently 90% complete, test flights have been made and its official opening is scheduled for March 10. It is expected that, initially, the flights will have capacity for 45 people and the destinations will mainly be Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and Roatan.
A new hotel by the Holiday Inn Express chain starts operations in the capital of Honduras, in the San Rafael Plaza mall.

IHG announces the opening of a new hotel by the brand Holiday Inn Express, which will have 108 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym and a business center. Guests will also be able to make use of free transport to the the nearby Multiplaza mall.
The guild is demanding the government to open up the market in order to allow companies to buy energy from abroad and reduce dependence on state power supplies.
The private sector is seeking to solve the energy crisis in Honduras by asking for regulation to be made flexible in order to allow direct import of energy for companies.
