An Environmental Impact Study has been submitted to build a 40 thousand square meter hospital in Turrialba, Cartago.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study submitted by the Costa Rican Social Security Department (CCSS) to the Environmental Technical Secretariat (SETENA) indicates that the purpose is to build the new William Allen Taylor Hospital, which will have a net construction area of 40,251 m2.

Bidding rules were modified for the Trauma Hospital in Costa Rica, and now interested builders must include the hospital’s equipment in their bids.
The National Insurance Institute (INS), decided to change the way the bidding was done after being recommended to do so by “Asociación Chilena”, hired to be the project’s advisor.
“INS will receive the new bids on February 16, and the design of the hospital is expected to be ready by March 2010.
