The arrival of tourists, hotel reservations and purchases of rent a car services would have increased In September.
Costa Rica's Central Bank has confirmed an increase in tourism activity, but will not reveal the exact figures until they are officially published by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute.
"Henry Murillo, interim director at the National Tourism Chamber (Canatur), confirmed that they have witnessed more tourists arriving at Juan Santamaría International Airport ... he says this is a result of improvement in the U.S. economy".
