There has been a favourable response to the bill establishing an open skies policy based on reciprocity with states and airlines.

The Commission of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Legislative Assembly, reached a favourable ruling regarding the reform to the Civil Aviation Act, to establish in the country a "Open Skies Policy" and create greater competitiveness in the airlines market with fares which are more accessible to users.
Despite opinions to the contrary, the new law includes Paraquat, Glyphosate and Endosulfan in the list of chemicals banned from use in agricultural production.

With 45 votes in favor, members of the FMLN, Unidos por El salvador and GANA approved the amendment of a Law on the control of pesticides, fertilizers and products for agricultural use, which allows the prohibition of 53 chemicals in El Salvador.
The reform excludes from payment cargo carriers that already have private insurance coverage in place in Central America.

With 54 votes in plenary legislature, Section 20 of the Special Law for the Establishment of the Fund for the Care of Traffic Accident Victims (Fonat) was reformed to incorporate a clause that excludes payment of the special contribution by freight vehicles with foreign plates, for those who already have an insurance policy against accidents and / or damage to third parties, to ensure compensation both in terms of health as well as financially, with current coverage level in Central America, including El Salvador.
The regulation increases the size of the "aguinaldo" (extra salary at the end of the year), depending on the number of worked years.
Those who have been working in a company for between 1 and 3 years will receive 15 days worth of 'aguinaldo' (end of year salary payment), those with between 3 and 10 years will receive 19 days worth of aguinaldo, and those who have worked for more than 10 years, will receive 21 days worth of aguinaldo.
