Through the new diplomatic headquarters in Beijing, the Salvadoran government aims to deepen relations with the Asian giant.
The opening of the Salvadoran government's embassy in China will help to further strengthen the relationship of friendship, trade and cooperation between the two nations, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador.
In El Salvador, the Constitutional Chamber admitted an appeal against the government's decision to terminate the trade agreement, and ordered a temporary suspension of the effects of the cancellation.

The objective is to promote, expand and diversify economic, trade, investment and tourism links between the two nations.

The country has resolved the differences it had with Italy, allowing the Association Agreement with the European Union to enter into force as soon as possible.

Today, September 23 the Finance Minister, Armando Flores and Deputy Minister of Economy, Mario Roger Hernandez, met with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Italy, Carlo Calenda in order to discuss the Italian opposition to the entry into force of the Association Agreement with the European Union (ADA) for El Salvador, after Italy, in July this year, did not vote for the Agreement to enter into force on 1 August 2013 for El Salvador and Costa Rica and did vote to give it to Nicaragua, Honduras and Panama.
NanYang Footwear is to invest $3 million in the country to produce footwear and export it to other markets.

The Taiwanese company engaged in the manufacture of footwear NanYang Footwear, in a clear commitment to El Salvador, started operations in the country by establishing and expand its subsidiary in the country under the name of ADI FOOTWEAR SA de CV, with an initial investment of $1.5 million, plus plans to invest an additional $1.5 million and carry out an expansion which will generate more than 1,000 new jobs over the next year.
The British have indicated that products from El Salvador such as coffee, sugar and crafts, have the potential to be exported to a market of over 63 million people.
In a meeting with exporters from both nations, the British Embassy highlighted the export potential of Salvadoran products. "We have identified some areas with good prospects for increasing our relationships," said Linda Cross, the British ambassador.
Toshiba has expressed interest to the Government of El Salvador in investing in the energy sector.

A group of businessmen is traveling with president Mauricio Funes in his upcoming official visit to Colombia.
The visit is scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of February.
