Panama City will receive more than 600 presidents and business leaders at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum on Latin America in April 2014.

Panama will officially become, in the month of April 2014, the host country of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum on Latin America which brings together more than 600 business people, plus industry leaders, said President Ricardo Martinelli on Wednesday Jan. 23 during his participation in the economic meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP),held this morning an Economic Forum entitled "Panama: Challenges and Opportunities in the search for a common agenda for development", an event for representatives of government and private institutions, international organizations, students and the media.
Ricardo Martinelli and the president of the World Economic Forum have agreed that Panama will be the site of the annual event in Latin America, when more than 1000 businesses from around the world will gather together.

Panama has managed to attract interest from new U.S. investors and become the site of the World Economic Forum 2014.
Organized by ProNicaragua and the Superior Council of Private Enterprise (COSEP) the event "Nicaragua Growing Together" aims to attract investments in all sectors of the Nicaraguan economy.
The investment forum aims to gather together business owners and executives in the country to talk to a visiting group of investors about the business benefits on offer.
The Central American Master's Program in Social Sciences presents the forum on the "Global Financial Crisis and its consequences to Central America."
Paulo de Leon, CABI; Carlos Martinez, UNDP consultant; Carlos Gonzalez, ASIES and Ricardo Barrientos, Finance Minister will be the speakers at the meeting to be held on Thursday, November 13 at the FLACSO campus in Guatemala at 6 pm.
The II International Encounter of Economists from Latin America and the Caribbean will be held in the Panamanian capital from October 15-17 and is being organized by the National College of Economists.
President of the College, Raul Moreira, said in a statement to Efe that the objective of the event will be to update Panamanian economist about important aspects that are occurring in the region with regards to economics.
