The consortium Ayesa Panama has won the contract to project manage the construction of the new convention center in Amador.
The Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) has awarded a $4.5 million contract for services administration, inspection, supervision and quality control for the design, construction and equipment of the new center for conventions, exhibitions and events in Amador, reported Prensa.com.
Cemosa, Consorcio Amador, Consorcio Proyecto SEG and Ayesa have presented their proposals to oversee the construction of the new convention center.
Of the ten companies that were interested in the tender to project manage construction of the Convention Center of Amador, four have formalized their offers in the public tender, according to Prensa.com.
The companies interested in supervising the construction of the convention center in Amador, Panama, will have until February 18th to submit their proposals.
The Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) has granted the request made by the interested parties to extend the date of the tender for the design, construction, and equipping of the new center for conventions, exhibitions and events in Amador, which was originally scheduled for February 12, reported Prensa.com. The institution will receive the proposals on 18 February.
Ten companies are interested in managing the construction of the convention center in Amador.
The companies involved are A.C.I. Proyectos S.A.S., EA Panamá, Ayesa, Manhattan Construction Group, SGS Panamá Control Services, The Louis Berger Group, Cemosa, Proyeco Panamá, Consorcio Glag and Consorcio Urbano, who are competing for the project management of the design, construction, and equipment the new center for conventions, exhibitions and events in Amador.
Due to complaints submitted by one of the bidders, the Secretariat of the Panama Metro will have to reevaluate all offers within a period of between 15 days and two months.
On July 2 the winner of the tender had been designated as the consortium PML2 made up of the companies Ayesa, The Louis Berger Group and TBM, but the consortium Panama 2 submitted complaints, which must be reviewed by the evaluation committee, delaying the award of the work.
A contract has been signed for the supply and installation of an integrated computer system for resource planning, which should be operational in 2015.

A contract for the supply and installation of the Integrated System for Planning Resources of the Public Sector Government of the Republic of Panama: Stage I Central Government signed the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the Spanish companies AYESA Advanced Technologies SA and the Consortium Informático El Corte Inglés Latinoamérica y el Caribe.
After several complaints from bidders in the tender for a project management services, the works on the South Terminal are progressing without any supervisor to certify them.
On August 23 the evaluation committee for the tender for project management services, presented a report stating that the highest score was awarded to the consortium ADPI / Ayesa / Csa / Cemosa while points were reduced for Prointec with the score being downgraded from 98 to 95.5 points and it was confirmed the Louis Berger Group received 96.5 points.
In the tender for supervision of the construction of the South Terminal of the Airport of Tocumen five companies have submitted bids valued at around $19 million.
The five bids were below the reference price of $22 million. The business groups who submitted bids to oversee the construction of the multi million dollar terminal /0} had prices which varied by no more than $2000.
Bids were received from the companies Cemosa and Asociación para el Desarrollo Integral (ADI).
The feasibility study is for the construction and operation of a new port in Aguadulce.
"The Association for Integral Development (ADI) and the company Cemosa were the only participants at the opening of envelopes, the preliminary results of which show that ADI won the contract because it fulfilled all the requirements stated in the official specifications for the tender”, reported Prensa.com
