Urbánica announced the construction this year of a 130-room Marriott Fairfield hotel in downtown La Gran Vía, and plans to start operations in 2017.
The real estate developer announced the construction of the Urbánica Marriott Fairfield hotel, located in the shopping center La Gran Vía in San Salvador, for an investment of approximately $17 million. The property will focus on the business tourism segment as does the Marriott Courtyard, developed in the same area.
The 109-room hotel opened on June 12th, and it is the first Residence Inn by Marriott to be built outside the United States and Canada.
The hotel, which is property of Caribe Hospitality, is administrated by Marriott International and required an investment of more than $10 million.
According to Elfinacierocr.com, the hotel “...includes 109 rooms using the concept of “long stay,” 53 of which are studio suites, 46 one-bedroom suites and 10 that have two bedrooms. The novelty of these rooms is that they are 50% bigger than those of a traditional hotel.”
