Caribbean Bio Energy and the National Port Company agreed to the installation of an ethanol plant in the port of Castilla.
During the first year of operation, the raw material (sugarcane) will be brought from Brazil.
The plant will have a production capacity of one million gallons of ethanol annually, of which 35% will be sold in the country.
"The contract is subject to approval by Congress in the coming days," informs Tiempo.hn.
