The Mayoral Office of San Pedro Sula has announced that it will be calling a tender for the construction of two storm drains in the industrial zone of El Polvorín.
Besides the construction of the collectors, the Municipal Corporation of San Pedro Sula authorized the installation of road and pedestrian safety devices throughout the city.

In 2015 the mayor of San Pedro Sula plans to invest $32 million in paving, drainage and traffic lights.
Other works included in the catalog of investment projects planned are: resurfacing of the Ring Road, road signs throughout the city and change of the traffic light network, among others of great importance for the development of the city.

As part of the integrated security project in San Pedro Sula 500 CCTV cameras will be fitted.
Discussing the project with La Prensa, Armando Calidonio commented that in the coming months studies will be carried out to determine the most unsafe parts of the city.
Calidonio went on to describe the project saying that, "there will be a control center to which people can go to report crimes as soon as they happen and the location will appear on screens managed by highly qualified personnel".
