Panama, July 25, 2016.Between January and May 2016 the network of regional airports managed and operated by Tocumen International Airport, reached a total volume of 242,052 passengers, compared to the 174,889 passengers transported in the same period in 2015.
Using a mobile application travelers arriving at Tocumen airport can carry out security prechecks up to two weeks before arriving in the country.
The digital system can be used by Panamanians and foreigners on computers, tablets and mobile phones, allowing travelers to enter their personal and flight data for review prior to their entry to the airport.
The U.S. Government has renewed its travel alert warning stating that the levels of violence and crime remain high.
The State Department of the United States said in the statement that "... this Travel Alert supersedes the one issued in December 2013 and includes additional information about the level of violence and crime in Honduras."
