The new site will operate in Madrid on the same premises currently occupied by the Embassy of Costa Rica in the European country.

San José, November 22, 2016.With a business meeting attended by 80 Spanish businessmen and with the participation of the former deputy minister of Foreign Trade and current Ambassador, Doris Osterloff and PROCOMER General Manager, Pedro Beirute Prada; Today the new commercial site of PROCOMER in Madrid, Spain was opened.
Before the end of the year a government agreement could be ready which would unify the various departments for promoting investment as well as the creation of the Guatemala Trade and Investment entity.

Tel Aviv - San Jose, September 26, 2016.With the aim of promoting an approach and laying the foundation for the commercial promotion of Costa Rica in the State of Israel, September 26 saw the conclusion of the visit by Minister and Chairman ofthe Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora Delgado, to the cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. During the three days of tours, the minister inaugurated the PROCOMER trade promotion office in Tel Aviv; officially launched the country brand essential COSTA RICA in Israel; and gave a masterful presentation - Doing Business with Costa Rica - followed by a discussion with a large group of Israeli entrepreneurs interested in expanding to Costa Rica.
In order to improve the export promotion strategy to China two annual meetings are being organized in Guatemala between companies from both countries, and the first will be held in March 2017.
The union of exporters, Agexport, and Korean Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce (CAMCOR), integrated into the Board of Export and Trade in Asia, are calling for Guatemalan companies to participate in the "Korea Trade 2017", a "... trade promotion strategy composed of two binational business meetings. "
There are conflicting opinions on the proposal put forward by the Morales administration to reactivate the agency for promoting foreign investment.
