The Social Security Department is putting out to tender consultancy services for the design and development of a project for underground parking at Plaza Navidad, Guatemala City.
The tender is for procurement of consulting services for the preparation of studies, designs and project development at Plaza Navidad underground car park, Civic Center, Zona 1, Guatemala City.
The municipal authorities of San Pedro Sula are preparing the documents for a tender for a parking regulation and collection of charges project in the city.
The mayor of San Pedro Sula and the Public Private Partnership Association will carry out the proposed controlled parking project in order to bring order to the streets and avenues of the city, which has 830 parking spaces.
The growing demand for parking has led to the emergence of dozens of new parking lots in San Jose over the last 3 years, with 296 patents having been processed in 2011 alone.
Yendry Rivera, of San Jose City's Mayor's Office, said that in 2009 the county processed 278 patents for parking lots, in 2010 the figure rose to 285, and last year to 296, reported Nacion.com.
Authorities in the Honduran business city are promoting the project which must be executed by an entity which can operate under the public-private partnership model.
"The specifications have already been developed and will be forwarded to the Commission on Public Private Partnership, along with the relevant contract, as it will require the approval of this entity in order to continue with the procedure.
The Judicial Branch of Panama has put out to tender the construction of a five-storey parking lot.
The Judicial Branch has an urgent need for the construction of a five storey building to be used for parking, which will be attached to existing buildings (buildings numbers 224 and 236, located in Ancon). It is hoped that the new facilities which prevent even bad weather from being an obstacle for users of the system and judicial officers to attend, without difficulty, such important public facilities.
The Social Security Department has created a tender with a value of $7.5 million for the construction of a parking area at the Dr. JJ Vallarino clinic .
According to the specifications the tender is to hire a company or group of companies to build a new building for parking at the Dr. JJ Vallariano the clinic in Juan Diaz, Panama Province.
The approval meeting is scheduled for 7th November and the date of submission of bids is Nov. 15.
The Civil Aviation Authority is putting out to tender works at the Marcos A. Gelabert airport .
The works include the study, design and construction of parking spaces and the rehabilitation of the access road to the airport terminal located in the northwest of Panama City.
The approval meeting is scheduled for June 6, 2011 and submission of proposals for the June 22, 2011.
By the end of the year, the Mayor of Panama will put out for tender the construction of underground car parks in the capital.
This was announced by the advisor to the Mayor of Panama, Jose Isabel Blandon, who added they expect to have the final designs and plans for the project ready by that date.
According to an article in Prensa.com, "Brazier said there are several proposals for the development of this project, including locating the parking underneath parks, as has been done in Porras Park, Andres Bello (via Argentina) and Harry Strunz (Calle 50)."
The Social Insurance Institute is putting out to tender the parking lots at Hospital Complex Arnulfo Arias Madrid.
Companies must submit their bids on May 20, 2011.
According to Guillermo Sáez-Llorens, head of the Institute (CSS), the project is expected to be well underway by the end of 2011 and it will replace the old laboratory of the institution.
The Social Security Fund will tender a new parking lot building for the Hospital Metropolitano.
Construction of the building with a capacity for 500 cars will be tendered next month.
The director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Guillermo Sáez-Llorens, added that "later this year we expect to have the project well advanced ... The building is located where the former laboratory was," reported Prensa.com.
The municipality of San Pedro Sula announced the tender of a regulated parking system.
Mayor Juan Carlos Zuniga stated that the new system seeks to restore order in city roads.
Within the reorganization plan the mayor also referred to necessary infrastructure, stating that some of the projects will get done this year and some others before 2013, considering the high amount of resources needed.
“Universidad Tecnológica” will build a parking lot to serve its 17.000 students.
Principal José Mauricio Loucel explained they are currently looking for a location to build the lot.
“This happens two weeks after dozens of students were fined and had their plates removed for parking on Arce street, a preferential road ”, reported Elsalvador.com.
