Germany's Bosch and Kuehne + Nagel, and Spain's Puig have selected the country to establish their regional headquarters.
These three multinationals will benefit from Law 41 of 2007, used by 40 already established companies, which provides tax, immigration and labor benefits.
"Bosch provides services and technology in sectors such as automotive, consumer goods and industry.
The contract is to design and remodel their facilities.
The government purchase published in website Panamacompra.gob.pa confirmed November 15th as the meeting date for approvals and the 25th for presentation of bids.
"The project must be finished and submitted by the contractor to the institution after 420 days from the day the order to proceed is given.
The Excel Automotive car dealership opened its new headquarters in the Department of Sonsonate.
The new complex offers integrated services which include sales of new vehicles, maintenance and part sales.
Andres Poma, National Manager of Excel Automotive, told Laprensagrafica.com, "The complex is located one block from the railway monument and has a total area of 2.520 m² of which 548 m² are workshop services.
A 4 hectare site in Coclé province will be used to construct the ministry's regional headquarters.
The project includes accommodation for doctors, a conference center and an area for specialist medical attention.
The announcement was made by the Health Minister, Franklin Vergara, during a visit to the central southern region of Panama.
The new regional Health Ministry (Minsa) head office, "will be located next to the Panamerican highway by the Penonomé exit for Aguadulce," reports Prensa.com.
CABEI confirmed that the works to build the new seat of the Costa Rican Legislative Assembly, valued at $96 million, will start on April 2011.
According to the contract signed with the Inter-American Development Bank on 2008, works were scheduled to start on 2010, but were delayed due to problems securing the lots.
The process was resumed after negotiations between Luis Gerardo Villanueva, president of the Assembly, and representatives from the Bank.
The National Electric Energy Company (ENEE) will build its new headquarters with a loan from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).
ENEE is preparing the bidding rules for auctioning the building’s design.
Roberto Martínez, head of the institution, told newspaper La Tribuna that they want to have the building ready in two years, and that it will be located close to the offices of the External Relations ministry.
Language school “Wizard” will open its first center in the country in May; it operates over 2.000 branches around the world.
It teaches English, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese and Italian, and is planning to expand to Central America from Guatemala.
Luisa Siqueira, director of Wizard International, told newspaper Prensalibre.com that they plan to open three centers in 2010, as they see great potential in language teaching.
The company focuses in solutions for managing contents in web sites, and will now develop software in Costa Rica.
Its Costa Rican facility will offer the same services as in its other centers located in the U.S.

The home appliances chain will open new stores in Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
Company president Gastón Monge commented they plan to open 40 new stores in Guatemala using the “Gallo más Gallo” brand.
“In Honduras, Grupo M will invest $15 million in 20 new stores”, reported Nacion.com. “5 stores are planned for Nicaragua, which will cost between $2.5 and $5 million”.
Grupo Monge inaugurated its third "Play" store in the country; it is located in Escazú, and has 2.355 square meters of commercial space.
The $5 million electronics and home equipment store will offer 9.000 different products.
"Grupo Monge has hired 60 people for administrative and sales jobs. They were trained in the group's other two Play stores: Zapote and Paseo de Las Flores", reported Nicaraguahoy.info.
The project Government City ("Ciudad Gubernamental"), starts in 2010, with the construction of a new head office for the Electoral Court.
It will require an investment between $500 and $600 million, and will be located in the Curundú Market, explained Alberto Vallarino, Economy Minister.
"Even though the number seems high, it is seen as an investment by Vallarino, specially when compared to the $50 million spent each year by the State renting buildings and offices for ministries and public institutions", reports Prensa.com.
'Banco General Costa Rica', 100% subsidiary of Panamanian Banco General S.A., inaugurated a new branch in the country.
The bank entered Costa Rica's market in May 2009. This new branch is located in Curridabat, in the capital city of San Jose.
"It is a bank with General License, providing the Costa Rican market with products and services to consumer and corporate clients", reports Pa-digital.com.pa.
It is located in Brooklyn, New York, and is the fourth Ficohsa Express agency in the state.
In the new branch, the bank offers money wiring services and payment of credit cards.
From Honduran newspaper El Heraldo: "This way, Ficohsa Express keeps expanding its presence in the United States ... These agencies contribute in sending remittances to Honduras".
