The Salvadoran government has announced that CABEI has approved an $80 million loan to finance the coffee plantation renewal plan.

The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Orestes Ortez, reported that the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) approved an $80 million loanrequested by the Salvadoran government, aimed at renovating the country 's coffee plantations and strengthening this productive sector.
With a loan from the BCIE, the improvement and renovation of 195 kilometers of roads in different areas of the country will be financed.
The project involves the paving of 194.39 kilometers, divided into six road sections with different asphalt pavement structures, hydraulic concrete and concrete paving slabs.
The BCIE will be financing restoration works on the National Theater, which include renovating the electricity system and modernizing the facilities in general.
The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) announced that "... financing will allow the development of a program consisting of investments for an active and passive fire protection system, renovation of the electricity system for greater security and modernization of the stage enclosure, mechanization of the stage, sound aspects, lighting aspects and installation of an acoustic shell, in addition to giving independence to the administrative offices and warehouses, excluding them from the main building of the Theater."
The Ministry of Agriculture foresees having the resources available in April, once the Legislature approves the disbursement by the BCIE.
A new government attempt to renovate coffee plantations gained momentum in December last year, after the Legislative Assembly approved areform to the Law to Create the Coffee Production Support Trust, to facilitate access to financing for coffee growers.
The Ministry of Environment has announced that using IADB funds, the infrastructure of four protected areas in the provinces of Veraguas, Colón and Chiriquí will be renovated.
According to the Environment Minister, Emilio Sempris, most of the funds will be invested in the Coiba de Veraguas National Park, which will be allocated about $27 million for the "construction and renovation of visitor sites, trails and the site's administrative centers."
The Congress approved two loans for a total of $53 million for rural electrification works and the construction of four bridges in Río Blanco and Siuna, Caribbean region.

The Development Bank of Latin America has confirmed another loan to finance the design and construction of the wastewater system in Arraiján and La Chorrera, in West Panama.
The funds will be executed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) through the Coordination Unit of the Panama Sanitation Program (UCP).This is the seventh approval of a credit operation of the CAF to support the execution of the Panama Sanitation Program, which with this new disbursement reaches a total financing amount of USD 628 million.The resources of this operation will be used for the design and construction of networks and sewage collectors, as well as domiciliary and intra-domiciliary connections that allow houses to be incorporated into the sanitation system.
With a loan from the IDB, new hospitals, health centers and maternity homes will be built and equipped in the departments of Nueva Segovia, Madriz, Estelí, Matagalpa and Jinotega.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a loan of US $133 million to improve the well-being ofNicaraguans, through attention to the main factors that affect health conditions. Likewise, actions are planned to strengthen the quality of customer service, by training Ministry of Health staff.
With a loan from OPEC, the second phase of the rural electrification project on the Caribbean coast will be financed.
The decree must still be approved by the National Assembly, which will receive it in the coming days.The loan was agreed between the Ortega administration and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.
With a $50 million loan from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, the second phase of the Arraiján and La Chorrera sanitation program in Panama Oeste will be financed.

The National Economic Council (CENA), issued a favorable ruling for the Ministry of Economy and Finance to sign a loan for 50 million balboas with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, for the implementation of a second phase of the sanitation program for Arraiján and La Chorrera in Western Panama.
With a loan from BCIE, the laboratories and biosafety buildings, the transport warehouse, the water treatment plant and the administration of the Campus Gorgas research center will be built.

The Cabinet Council at its meeting on Tuesday authorized the signing of a loan contract between the Republic of Panama and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) for the sum of 70 million balboas to partially finance the Gorgas Campus-Phase I Project.
The Ortega administration has announced that with a loan of $238 million from the BCIE, some 194 kilometers of road sections will be renovated in different areas of the country.
Vice-president Rosario Murillo stated that the project " ... which will be carried out starting from next year, includes construction of 194 kilometers in hydraulic concrete and paving stones in six stretches of roads distributed throughout the country."
The Latin American Bank for Foreign Trade has granted Dos Pinos a syndicated loan of $100 million over five years, for three of the companies belonging to the cooperative.
The loan to Cooperativa de Leche Dos Pinos was structured as a "Club Deal" between Bladex, Banco General, S.A. and Banistmo, S.A., who acted as co-structurers.Bladex also serves as the Administrative Agent at the facility.
The National Economic Council has authorized a $50 million loan with the European Investment Bank to finance part of the West-Burunga Panama Sanitation program.
