In February, the consumer price index registered an increase of 0.87% compared to January and accumulated inflation of 1.32% so far this year.
In February this year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) registered a monthly increase of 0.87%; mainly associated with an increase in tuition prices in different levels of private education, red beans, soft drinks, household fuels (kerosene and LPG gas) and student transportation. In December, the CPI registered a variation of 0.27%, as determined by increased prices of electricity, clothing and food consumed in restaurants.
The Central Bank of Hondurasreports that in December the monthly variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 0.27%, as determined by increased prices of electricity, clothing and food consumed in restaurants. Meanwhile, annual inflation was 3.31%, 0.95% higher than in the same month last year.
The price indices of buildings and social housing in November 2016 recorded interannual variations of -1.27% and -1.91% respectively.

Price indices based construction in February 2012 are a set of twenty statistical indicators, which measure the change in prices of materials used in the construction of different kinds of works.They are composed of index prices of buildings, index prices of social housing,and a group of nineteen price indices of raw materials and special services.
In November the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of 0,39%, making inflation accumulated so far this year 4,22%.
The National Statistics Institute of Guatemala has reported that the Consumer Price Index for November 2016 stood at 126.82, recording a monthly variation of 0.39%, and compared to November last year, the variation was 4.67%.
