The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama has reiterated its concern about the appointment of directors of the Panama Canal Authority.
A statement from the CCIAP reads:
Panama, February 6, 2013. - The Board of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), in light of the information that has been publicly released and reactions that have occurred surrounding one of the designated members reiterates its concern at the process for the appointment of new members of the Board of Directors of the Panama Canal Authority (ACP).
The Panama Maritime Chamber has published the characteristics of the person who will replace Alemán Zubieta at the head of the Canal’s administration.
"A professional versed in the field of maritime transport with extensive experience in large scale engineering and project management." "Possessing a broad view of the impact of the canal as the main axis of movement of cargo and auxiliary services to the ships."
