A warning has been given that over 4000 legal persons are at risk of dissolution for having failed to pay the "single rate" for 10 years.
The General Directorate of Revenue in Panama published the list of legal persons who have arrears of ten (10) years in payment of the tax known as "Single Annual Rate" ("tasa única anual", in Spanish), a list prepared by the DGI for broad dissemination and publication, pursuant to paragraphs 4 and 5 of Article 318-A of the Fiscal Code, amended by Act 6 of 2005 and Act 49 of 2009.
The Directorate General of Revenue has announced that companies with tax debts more than twelve months old will be included in a list which will be published in March.

A bill proposed to the National Assembly aims to hire more companies to manage cases of tax arrears.
So far only one company is responsible for this service, engaged directly and exclusively to manage collections from legal and natural persons who are behind with tax payments. If the bill presented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance is successful, the government will open up the process for hiring companies.
A draft amendment to the Tax Code in El Salvador proposes putting the names of tax debtors in the public domain.
According to Congressman Guillermo Gallegos, this would be a "moral condemnation", because maybe people feel distressed on seeing their names published and pay the taxes they owe.

Defaulters of the Honduran Tax system have been blocked from gaining access to the National Tax Registry (RTN in Spanish) and the Automated System for Customs Revenue in Honduras (SARAH in Spanish).

The partnership between the Executive Directorate of Revenue and the company Equifax, will mean that tax defaulters will be included in the credit bureau’s information.
This agreement will allow access by the financial system (private banks, finance companies, and cooperatives), to taxpayer’s debt information held with the Treasury.
