What does location intelligence provide to urban planning?
The contract for access to the railway network was signed between the Municipality of Guatemala and Ferrovías, which will serve for the construction project of a Metro Riel, an estimated investment of $772 million.

The Direction of Urban Mobility of the Guatemalan Government presented a $28 million estimate for the project to implement the Transmetro route that will cover from the Mariano Galvez University in zone 2 to the University of San Carlos in zone 12, which will cross the Peripherical.

It has been announced that in late November the request for proposals document will be published for the award in concession of its construction and operation, and it is estimated that the cost will amount to $180 million.
It has been reported that the foreign companies that have already expressed interest in the project are Doppelmayr / Garaventa, of Austria, and the Leitner Poma group.According to municipal authorities, the bidding rules are ready, and will be published on the Guatecompras website later this month.
A feasibility study indicates an estimated cost of $770 million for building a Metro that will loop through 20 kilometers between the North and South of the capital city, a project which will be put out to tender in 2017.
