An Environmental Impact Study has been presented to build in Zone 11 of Guatemala City, a school made up of 7 buildings on different levels.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in Guatemala in July 2016 and by the Cultural Socio-Beneficial Association of the Marist Brothers of Guatemala indicates that the development will be called "Colegio Marista" and will be located at 20th avenue 18-36 of zone 11, in the municipality of Guatemala, Guatemala department.
Six construction companies submitted bids in the tender for the construction of a school in the Pacora district of Panama, with a price tag of $15.7 million.
The companies that submitted bids are Consultores Profesionales e Ingeniería, Constructora Urbana, S.A., Proyectos y Construcciones Canaima, Constructora Ripard, Administración y Supervisión de Obras Civiles, S.A. and Riva, S.A. The proposals are being evaluated and the work will be awarded according to the score obtained (maximum 100 points) .

The Inter-American Development Bank has approved a loan of $70 million to provide innovative infrastructure to 47 communities in Panama, benefiting more than 38,000 students. The goal is to expand educational opportunities and encourage students in marginal areas and indigenous students to complete their basic education.
The Ministry of Education (MINED) is invites bids for a tenders for the rehabilitation, improvement and expansion of three schools.
The tender aims to improve the infrastructure of a selected group of schools, in order to increase access and quality education with equity criteria at national level, prioritizing rural and urban areas which have deficits .
The Ministry of Education allocated $ 29.2 million for construction and repair of school infrastructure in 2011.
The number represents an increase of 239% compared to the $ 12.2 million invested in 2010.
This year, education authorities will continue to improve the infrastructure and construction of 206 new classrooms for pre-primary and 225 more for primary education. Also, it has contemplated to build 52 health services facilities.
