The Ministry of Communications tenders the construction of the overpass on Route CA-01 West, return to San Bartolome Milpas Altas, Sacatepéquez.

"For the construction of the overpass is contemplated a deceleration lane of 70 meters long to enter towards the return that is developed in 240 meters long throughout the return that will be built on the existing road a bridge of 5.9 meters long (reinforced concrete bridge on stirrups), after finishing the return will be built the acceleration lane of 66 m long to join the CA-01 Occidente in the direction towards San Bartolome Milpas Altas.
After investing $25 million in construction works, the new binational bridge that connects both countries and is located over the Sixaola River was inaugurated.
The total investment of this work was around $25 million, of which $10 million was contributed by the Mesoamerica Fund - Government of Mexico, and the governments of Costa Rica and Panama allocated $7.5 million each, according to a press release from the Ministry of Public Works of Panama (MOP).
In Guatemala, the construction of the overpass to be located at the intersection of Villa Hermosa Boulevard and Frutal Boulevard, Villa Hermosa 1, in San Miguel Petapa, is being tendered.

The Ministry of Communications is bidding for the construction of the overpass on Route CA-01 West, at kilometer 33.5 on the way back to San Bartolome Milpas Altas, department of Sacatepequez.

As a result of the health and economic crisis affecting the country, the government decided to cut the budget assigned to municipalities by $71 million to finance maintenance work on the cantonal road network.

In Costa Rica, Puentes y Calzadas Grupo de Empresas was awarded the contract to build the new overpass at the La Bandera roundabout in the country's capital.
The construction of this work in La Bandera, which will involve 1100 meters in length, is scheduled to begin this year, if no appeals are filed, reported the Ministry of Public Works.
The Municipality of Guatemala announced that this year it plans to build eight overpasses in different parts of the capital, which will require a joint investment of some $13 million.
