Panama’s new Minister for Fisheries and Farming, Emilio Kieswetter, has repealed decree N° 238 from 5 July which required tuna fishing licenses to be obtained from the country’s Water Resources Authority (ARAP) and renewed annually as well as a $1,000 performance bond.
