In El Salvador, the Government decided to eliminate the $3.5 fee charged to each passenger entering the country through El Salvador San Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport.
Although the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Salvadoran Association of Airline Representatives (ASLA) opposed this charge, the fee went into effect on March 19, 2021.
In El Salvador, authorities decided that commercial flights at the Oscar Romero International Airport will be suspended for the next three weeks due to the health alert the country is facing.
The decision was announced by the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA), and details that this is part of the compliance with the state of emergency and Executive Decree No. 12, due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Evelop! will operate seasonal flights between Madrid and San José for eight weeks from 24 June 2020.
Evelop! flights will be made in an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a capacity of 388 passengers, leaving Madrid at 11:30 am and arriving in San José at 14:20 pm, informed the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT).
From December 1, 2019, Mundo Maya Volando will begin operating flights between the country's capital and the cities of Quetzaltenango and Huehuetenango.

The low-cost airline Sun Country announced that between June and August 2020 it will operate a weekly flight between the U.S. city of Dallas and the province of Guanacaste in Costa Rica.
The operation will begin on Saturday 13 June and end on Saturday 15 August. The flight will depart at 8 a.m. from Dallas Fort Worth Airport and arrive at Daniel Oduber Quirós at 11:05 a.m.
The airline began to apply for permits, and is expected to start operating flights from Europe to the Central American country next year.
