Prensa.com reports: According to the Minister of Trade and Industry, Gisela Porras, the idea of the project is to have a center where fishermen from the area can deliver, sell, store and process their products, thereby strengthening their commercial operations.
The project for the remodeling of the historical Amapala center also includes the construction of a breakwater and the improvement of the sewer and water system.
Latribuna.hn reports: "According to the minister of SETCO, Karen Zelaya, the cooperation from Spain is around 13.3 million lempiras that will used to remodel the three parks, and the main recreational areas, in order to promote tourism in the area."
The Technical Secretariat for International Cooperation reported that projects for improving the sanitation and potable water system are to begin soon.
"We will begin projects in Cortes, which have been financed by the Government of Japan at a total of $1,482 million or $749 million each; additionally a series of educational projects, with help from Taiwan, are to be inaugurated," reported Karen Zelaya, head of the Technical Secretariat for International Cooperation
