AGRITRADE Expo & Conference 2019: First Live Coffee Auction in Guatemala
A Coffee Trade that will have a live auction to ease the business of differentiated Guatemalan coffee; a pavilion of plants and flowers; vegetables and fruits that will be known through Guatemalan chefs cooking the flavor that exceeds expectations, and 10 more activities, will be presented in the XIX Edition of AGRITRADE Expo & Conference, to more than 150 international buyers. Guatemala's exportable agricultural offer will be present and will seek to generate business for US$ 65 million in the short and medium term.
On March 14 and 15, an international convention will be held in Panama City, focusing on issues related to the evolution of shopping centers in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The event called " 1st International Congress of Shopping Centers" is organized by the Panamanian Association of Shopping Centers (APACECOM) and aims to discuss issues related to the relevance of customer loyalty through knowledge and digital engagement, how to create successful stores from the perspective of visual merchandising, exploring the impact of shopping centers in intermediate cities, among others.
Within the framework of EXPOCOMER 2019, the second National Business Roundtable is scheduled for March 28, in which companies from more than 20 countries are expected to participate.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), in strategic alliance with the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) will carry out the 2nd National Business Roundtable, next March 28 in the framework of EXPOCOMER 2019, with the objective of boosting Panamanian exports in the international market.
From March 21st to 23rd in Antigua, Guatemala, more than 150 international buyers will participate in business rounds with agricultural producers in the region.

On February 14th and 15th, representatives of banks, international financial institutions and risk rating agencies will meet in Panama City to discuss issues related to the sector.
The event called "International Banking Congress for Regulators & Bankers," will be organized by the Superintendence of Banks of Panama (SBP) and seeks to address issues such as Basel III, prevention of money laundering, de-risking, new risks facing the industry, financial innovation-Fintech, cybersecurity, among others.
From November 21st to 23rd, a regional event will be held in the country's capital to discuss issues related to competitiveness, innovation, territorial development and cluster management.
The 11th Latin American Congress of Clusters (CLAC) of the TCI Network will be held at the end of this month, on the topic "Leadership for innovation and competitiveness in Latin America: territorial development strategies based on Clusters."
Businessmen from the livestock sector will meet in Guatemala City from November 13th to 18th to discuss issues related to modernization in meat and dairy production.
In the Cattleman Week and Expoleche, that will take place in the park of the Industry, 500 heads of cattle of 13 races will be exposed, coming from 50 estates.
Regarding the current situation of the sector, Carlos Zuñiga, president of the Permanent Committee of the Cattleman Week and Expoleche 2018 Association, explained to Dca.gob.gt that "... The national production is stagnant and competing in disadvantage against illegal traders and subsidies received by the sector in other countries."
From October 22nd to 26th, Brazilian businessmen from the food and beverage, construction, software, equipment, cosmetics and furniture sectors will visit Santo Domingo and Santiago to offer their products.

APEX, Brazil's export promotion agency in conjunction with the Embassy of Brazil in the Dominican Republic announced the visit of a group of 17 Brazilian companies that will be offering a wide variety of products and services to Dominican companies on October 23rd and 24th in Santo Domingo and October 25th and 26th in Santiago.
A business meeting between 22 companies from the Zona Libre de Colon, Panama, and Peruvian businessmen from different sectors will be held in Lima, Peru, on October 24.
The Zona Libre de Colon reported that 22 user companies will meet with Peruvian businessmen in search of new buyers, distributors and partners. The activity will be held at the Swiss Hotel, San Isidro, Lima, Peru.
The event that will take place in San Salvador on October 24 and 25, will address issues such as trade, access to raw materials and current obstacles to business development and growth.
The event is a meeting place for entrepreneurs from the Central American region of different sectors, representatives of private sector associations; with the purpose of providing information and knowledge about the trends in business generation taking advantage of technology and innovation.
From October 1 to 3, Guatemala will be hosting a Conference on Free Zones of the Americas, where topics such as the potential and benefits of companies in the sector will be discussed.

Guatemala, September 19, 2018.- The Association of Free Zones of the Americas - AZFA - together with the Santo Tomas de Castilla Free Zone, Chamber of Industry, Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy, presented the twenty-second Conference for Free Zones of the Americas to be held from October 1 to 3 at Hotel Casa Santo Domingo, in Antigua Guatemala.
As part of the Buyers Trade Mission, from 25 to 27 September, 500 Costa Rican exporters will be meeting with 300 entrepreneurs from 50 countries.
The Foreign Trade Promotion Office (Procomer), the institution in charge of organizing the event, reported that this year it foresees holding 5,300 business appointments at the event, which will take place at the Costa Rica Convention Center, in Barreal de Heredia.
From September 20 to 22, entrepreneurs from the hardware sector from 11 countries will be meeting in Panama City to hold business conferences with the aim of forging alliances.
According to the organizers of "Expo F 2018", the event will involve traders from Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic, who will try to create commercial alliances.
On October 10 and 11, entrepreneurs from the milk and dairy sector will be meeting in the province of Heredia to discuss topics of interest and showcase their products.
The National Chamber of Milk Producers and the Central American Federation of the Milk Sector are organizing the VII Central American Congress of the Milk Sector, which will be held at the Pedregal Events Center, located in Heredia, Costa Rica.
As part of the ExpoMueble 2018 event, Central American furniture manufacturers and distributors are being called upon to take part in the business conferences scheduled to take place from July 26 to 29, in Guatemala City.
The Guatemalan Exporters Agency reported that in the 2018 edition, more than 100 exhibitors from furniture chains and Guatemalan boutiques will take part, having the opportunity to promote their products to the more than 15,000 people who will be visiting the exhibition floor.
