In August the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of -0.36%, accumulating inflation so far this year of 2.03%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of -0.36 percent (-0.01% in August 2015), mainly explained by the behavior of prices of some goods and services in the divisions of Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.11%), Recreation and culture (-1.72%) and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.27%), which together contributed -0.492 percentage points to the variation observed.In contrast, the division of furniture, housewares and home conservation, showed a variation of 0.72 percent (0.050 pp).
In June, the consumer price index recorded a drop of 0.10%, accumulating inflation of 2.06% so far this year.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of -0.10 percent (-0.02% in June 2015), mainly explained by the performance of prices of some goods and services in the divisions of Food and non alcoholic beverages (-0.79%), Communications (-1.28%), and Recreation and culture (-0.31%), which together contributed -0.334 percentage points to the observed variation.In contrast, in the division of Housing, water electricity, gas and other fuels there was a variation of 0.97 percent (0.082 pp).
In May the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.57%, with accumulated inflation so far this year being 2.17%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.57 percent (0.51% in December 2015), mainly explained by increased prices in some goods and services in the divisions of Food and non alcoholic drinks (0.54%), recreation and culture (2.97%) and transportation (1.14%), which together contributed 0.389 percentage points to the observed variation. In contrast the category of Communications showed the opposite behavior with a variation of -0.07 percent (-0.002 pp).
In April, the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.14%, accumulating inflation so far this year of 1.59%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded a monthly variation of 0.14 percent (0.20% in December 2015), mainly explained by increased prices of some goods and services in the categories of Transportation (2, 03%), Housing, water, electricity gas and other fuels (0.65%) and Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.39%), which together contributed 0.224 percentage points to the variation observed.
In March the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.63%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 1.45%.

In February, the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.93%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 0.81%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.93% (0.72% in December 2015), mainly explained by increased prices on some goods and services in the divisions of food and nonalcoholic beverages (0.93%), education (6.15%) and restaurants and hotels (1.69%), which together contributed 0.866 percentage points to the observed variation.
In January, the CPI registered a variation of 0.11% and annual inflation stood at 3.19%, 2.26% lower than the figure for January 2015.
The Central Bank reported that the monthly inflation in January reflected a monthly variation of -0.11% (-0.25% in December 2015), mainly explained by lower prices in some goods and services in the divisions of recreation and culture (-6.69%), transport (-1.36%) and education (-0.22%), which together contributed -0.373% to the observed variation. In contrast the division of restaurants and hotels showed the opposite behavior with a variation of 0.59% (0,064pp).
In December, the CPI registered a variation of 0.98%, accumulating inflation of 3.05% throughout the year, well below the 6.48% recorded in the same period in 2014.
The Central Bank reported that the monthly inflation in December was 0.98% (-0.07% in December 2014). This increase was driven mainly by higher prices in the divisions of food and nonalcoholic beverages (1.20%), recreation and culture (5.77%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (2.24%), with a joint contribution of 0.844 percentage points to the observed variation.
In November, the CPI registered a variation of 0.36%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 2.06%, well below the 6.55% recorded in the same period in 2014.

November monthly inflation was 0.36% (1.39% in December 2014). This inflation was mainly determined by the increase in prices in the divisions of food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.38%), restaurants and hotels (0.55%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.37%), with a joint contribution of 0.228 percentage points to the observed variation.
In October, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.43%, exceeding the 0.17% recorded in the same period in 2014.
October´s monthly inflation stood at 0.43% (0.17% in December 2014). The monthly inflation rate was mainly determined by an increase in prices in categories of food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.52%), restaurants and hotels (0.72%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.81%), with a joint contribution of 0.336 percentage points to the observed variation, according to the Central Bank.
In April, the consumer price index showed a variation of 0.39%, reflecting an increase in prices of food, beverages, restaurants, hotels and transportation.
The reported inflation was greater by 0.77% than the amount of inlfation in the same period in 2014, which was 4.90%. Moreover, the division of Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages was the largest contributor to inflation in April, with 0.266%, while the division of hotels and restaurants contributed 0.07% to monthly inflation.
In March the consumer price index showed a variation of 0.38%, mainly due to the increase in prices of Transportation, Recreation and culture and restaurants and hotels.

March's monthly inflation stood at 0.38% (-0.01% in December 2014), mainly determined by price increases in the divisions of transport (2.12%); recreation and culture (2.26%); and restaurants and hotels (0.70%), which together contributed 0.310% to the observed variation. In contrast, the division of food and non-alcoholic beverages showed the opposite behavior with -0.38% (-0.140 pp).
Education, housing, water and electricity were the sectors that accounted for the 0.72% increase in the consumer price index in February 2015.

February's Monthly inflation closed at 0.72% (0.66% in December 2014), mainly due to the price increase in the divisions of education (5.80%); housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.64%); and transportation (1.80%), which together contributed 0.580% to the observed variation. In contrast, the division of food and non-alcoholic beverages showed the opposite behavior with -0.58% (-0.216%).
In January the consumer price index recorded a negative change of 0.25%, explained by the reduction in the category of Transportation, Recreation and Culture and Food & Beverage.

In contrast, the division of restaurants and hotels showed the opposite behavior with a variation of 0.71% (0.073%).
In December 2014, the consumer price index recorded a monthly decline of 0.07%, closing the year at 6.43%, above the inflation of 5.67% registered in 2013.
