From April 23 to 25 an Ibero-American meeting of chambers of commerce, industry and services will be held in the capital of Nicaragua.
The meeting is being organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Nicaragua and the American Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Services (AICO), and will bring together business representatives from Latin America and Spain.
The new business entity seeks to convene 100 companies in two years, and foster business development, trade and investment between Panama and the European country.
The Franco - Panamanian Chamber of Commerce (CCFP) is a non profit organization that seeks to bring together the business sector of both countries to promote business development, trade and investment.

Citing unconstitutionality power has been taken away from the tax authorities to determine the basis for calculating tax owed in respect of Value Added Tax.
A paragraph in Article 7 of the Law on Value Added Tax (VAT) which was declared unconstitutional provided: "In the case that a taxpayer, within three months, reports in their declaration of turnover sales rates that are lower than at cost or production of goods, the tax authorities may determine the basis for calculating the tax owed, taking into consideration the sale price of the same product in other transactions of the same taxpayer within the same time ... unless the taxpayer can justify and demonstrate the reasons why this situation occurred and present banking and financial information proving their real income. "
Forty-five companies from both countries are already part of the new chamber which will focus on promoting bilateral trade.
Víctor Hugo Morales, Mexico's ambassador in Tegucigalpa, announced the creation of the Honduran - Mexican Chamber of Commerce.
