$ 10 Million for Nicaraguan Agriculture
Under a program to fight hunger, the U.S. Government approved $ 10 million for the country.

The program, called Feeding the Future, “will continue to support small farmers and businesses in Nicaragua to improve productivity and expand the market and trade", stated U.S. Ambassador Robert Callahan, at the presentation act.
The Food and Drug Administration has evaluated two varieties of apples and six potatoes which have been genetically modified and concluded that they are "as safe and nutritious as their conventional counterparts."
The fair "Knowing the South: regional exchange of solutions," which aims to present solutions of the South-South Cooperation (SSC) on issues of social and sustainable development will take place from 8th to 10th May in Panama.
Howard G. Buffett Foundation announced it will disburse the funds to assist 24 000 small farmers in Central America.
The Dutch government announced a $10 million grant to Guatemala to help it boost trade with the Netherlands and the rest of Europe.
