Wal-Mart Looking for SMEs in Honduras

The multinational supermarket chain is conducting its third business roundtable, as part of a program called “Una Mano para Crecer” (A Hand to Grow).

Those suppliers who comply with the requirements will have the opportunity of commercializing their products in Wal-Mart’s stores.

“Once accepted, their products will be sold at the stores for an initial, ‘testing’, period of time. Those products well regarded by consumers will be incorporated into the regular inventory. This gives companies a chance to showcase their products to a large national and international audience”, reported newspaper La Tribuna.

Wal-Mart Central America invited Small and Medium producers of consumer articles to the Rounds of Negotiation for the "A Hand to Grow" program.

The Round of Negotiation is a one day event in which appointments for negotiations between the producer and the Category Manager (buyer) for Wal-Mart Central America. The products that are accepted will be offered in designated pilot stores for a testing period of 90 days.
