An article in Nacion.com reports that "The Costa Rican Institute of Tourism has confirmed that the inaugural flight will take place at 10:50 with the presence of Tourism Minister, Allan Flores."

This new Aeromexico flight is the first direct air link between Costa Rica and the resort of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.

Aeromexico's daily flight from Mexico City will depart at 12.55 pm and arrive at El Salvador International Airport at 14.25 pm The aircraft will return to Mexico the same evening.

Aeromexico Inaugurates Costa Rican Flight

On March 26th the airline will start operating two daily flights between Mexico and airport Juan Santamaría in Costa Rica.

One will depart from Mexico City and the other from Cancún.

Elfinancierocr.com reported that local tourism authorities will take advantage of this to promote the arrival of Mexican tourists to Costa Rica.
