Offers presented in the tender "Study, design and construction of works for the sustainable improvement of the Drinking Water System of Panama City: Extension Hydraulic Ring Panama East and increased storage capacity," with a reference price of $165 million:
The National Council for Sustainable Development (CONADES) held on August 2 the opening of envelopes containing the economic proposals for the tender for the "Study, design and construction of works for the sustainable improvement of the Drinking Water System in Panama City: Extension of the Panama Canal Hydraulic Ring and increased storage capacity" and "Study, design and construction of works for the sustainable improvement of the Drinking Water System in Panama City: Expansion and Renovation of the North Panama Aqueduct ".
The ceremony held in Casa Amarilla of the Presidency of the Republic was chaired by the Executive Secretary of CONADES, Mr. Manuel Soriano, who before the opening of envelopes, announced the reference price of the project for the Hydraulic Ring Extension in East Panama, whichwas B /.165,063,775.38; while the reference price of the Expansion and Renovation of the Hydraulic Ring in North Panama was B /.90,006,841.69.

The Ministry of the Presidency is putting out to tender the study, design and construction of a project to improve the water system in the City of Panama.
Panama Government Purchase 2016-0-03-0-08-LV-023 238:
"The objective is the study, design and construction for the extension of the Hydraulic Ring towards Panama East, including the Maria Henriquez 2 Line, the Oriente 2 Line, Section 4, Ramales de Nueva Esperanza, the routes to Omar and Ciudad del Este, Storage Tank 3 MG, Pump and drive Line towards the Water Treatment Plants Cabra 1 and 2, Storage Tank 1.5 MG, Flowline to Ciudad del Este, in addition to the Works to Increase storage Capacity of the Aqueduct including Storage Tank 6 MG and Storage Tank 3.3 MG."
Five consortia have submitted bids ranging from between $90 million and $197 million in the two categories for the tender for sewage and wastewater treatment works in David, Chiriqui.
From a statement issued by the Presidency of Panama:
This Tuesday in Casa Amarilla, a tender was held for the "Study, Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of a Sewerage and Wastewater Treatment System for the City of David and its surrounding areas, in the province of Chiriqui."
The offers for the water and sewer improvements in the Panamanian capital range from between $7.4 million and $8.9 million.
Three companies, Panamanian, Costa Rican and American, submitted bids for the work on expanding and improving sewers in the districts of El Chorrillo and Santa Ana.
