The Stock Market has Credit

The stock market in Panama is the source of fresh funds while the rest of the financial system keeps funds restricted.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Issuances recorded by the National Securities Commission (CONAVAL) during the first quarter of 2009 totaled $305 million, while those in process total $447 million.

Even banks are trying to capture the public's money in this manner.

Kerem Perez, in his analysis of the subject in an article in Martesfinanciero.com, noted that "the stock market is attractive due to the flexibility and gains that are obtained at the end of its use due to the fact that interest rates are between 7% and 9%. The limiting factor, in some cases, is the amount requested, although the terms that can be secured depend in part on the name of the company issuing the securities."

Liquidity, Liquidity, Liquidity

May 2009
