Tender for lunch for Guatemalan Schools

More than 2.9 million lunches for Open Schools from the Social Cohesion Council are being put to tender by the Central Action Committee (CCAS).

Prensalibre.com published that "On the Guatecompras portal and in the Government daily the tender from the CCAS to offer the lunches which will be distributed on the weekends to the 54 school campuses that are included in the Open School program.

The basis for the tender are 600 meals for each school, or a total of 2,980,00 meals at a cost of approximately Q29.81 million, according to Social Cohesion."

The Ministry of Education of Panama tenders the supply of 1.5 million lunches served in disposable containers for 20 schools involved in the Extended School Day for All Program.

Purchase of the Government of Panama 2018-0-07-0-99-LP-034928:

"The contract includes all stages ranging from the purchase of raw materials, cooking and preparation of food, transportation, distribution and delivery at each school, complying at each stage with the basic principles of Good Manufacturing Practices: proper food handling, principles of sanitizing and risk control of contamination of the food produced."

Honduras: $288 Million from CABEI

The funds provided by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will go towards various social projects.

According to the Honduran Minister for the Presidency, María Guillén, of the total CABEI funds, $235 million will be spent on health, education and nutrition programs as well as improvements to school meals and the country’s food security.
