Tender: Construction and Hospital Equipment for $78 million

The Costa Rican Social Security Department is putting out to tender the design, construction, equipment and maintenance of the new William Allen hospital in Turrialba.

Following the announcement of the tender a few weeks ago, the purchase procedure has been officially published for the construction and equipment of the new hospital in Turrialba, which is estimated to have an area of 32,000 m2.

"Lines to be contracted out:

- Design
- Construction 
- Medical equipment
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of infrastructure and medical equipment. "

The deadline for receipt of bids is August 9, 2017.

It has been announced that in the next few days a tender will be published for the design, construction and equipment of a new hospital in Turrialba, under the turnkey mode.

Costa Rica to Build $35 Million Hospital

September 2010

Costa Rica's social security agency (CCSS) has begun the process of purchasing 10 hectares of land for the construction of the new William Allen Taylor health facility.

CCSS (known locally as the Caja) is now working on the building's design and in construction plans, commented the architect Gabriela Murillo Jenkins, CCSS infrastructure and technology manager.
