TACA Won’t Penalize for Flight Changes from Honduras

The penalty for changing flights will not be charged for all flights until July 6th originating from and going to the following cities: San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa, La Ceiba and Roatan.

The last day to make changes is July 6th and the last day to travel is July 31st at the latest.

Ultimatum for VECA Airlines

The Salvadoran Civil Aviation Authority has temporarily suspended its operating permit and granted it a period of 90 days to decide whether or not to stay in the aviation market.

The company must decide its future in a maximum period of three months, as established by the Civil Aviation Authority of El Salvador. Its executive director, Jorge Puquirre, told Elmundo.sv that   "... 'Their argument (the CASI) is based on current aircraft not being profitable under the terms of the low cost tickets offered'. However, 'they are already in talks with other operators looking to lease other smaller aircraft'.  If the company decides not to stay in the market, the Civil Aviation Authority has the legal power to 'cancel the operating permit permanently'."

Panama - Puebla Flights Suspended

July 2016

Losses arising from the low occupancy rate on this route led Copa Airlines to decide to stop flying between Panama City and Puebla, Mexico.

The airline said that passengers who have flights scheduled after June 30, the closing date of the flight, will be covered on flights run by the airline from Mexico City.

Direct Flights to from Panama to Rosario in Argentina

Copa Airlines has announced new flight from Panama City to Rosario from 1 July 2016 with four weekly frequencies.

Panama City, March 07, 2016 Copa Airlines {NYSE: CPA} subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA, and member of the global airline network Star Alliance, announced its new route to the city of Rosario in Argentina, from on 1 July 2016, with 4 weekly frequencies between Rosario and Panama City.

Spanish Airline Looks For Hub in Central America

Spanair is negotiating with Panama to establish frequencies with Tocumen International Airport for their passengers to connect from there to other countries in the isthmus.

After Air Europa abandoned its intentions to fly from Spain to Panama, the only airline with that connection is Iberia.
