Sun Country Announces New Service to Costa Rica

Sun Country Airlines announced new international service between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Liberia, Costa Rica.

The new service will be the only non-stop flight from Minnesota to Liberia. The new flights will operate weekly from January 13 through April 13, 2012 departing from and returning to the Twin Cities on Fridays. The seasonal service will offer both first class and coach seating on Sun Country’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flights are for sale immediately on SunCountry.com or by calling 1-800-FLY-N-SUN.

New Austin - Guanacaste Flight

June 2021

As of November 2, American Airlines will begin operating the route between the U.S. city of Austin, Texas, and the Costa Rican province of Guanacaste.

The new route will be offered to the public three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) and arises at the request of the airline's customers, who were looking for more connections and international non-stop alternatives for the fall and winter season, informed the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT).

New Low-Cost Flight: Dallas - Liberia

November 2019

The low-cost airline Sun Country announced that between June and August 2020 it will operate a weekly flight between the U.S. city of Dallas and the province of Guanacaste in Costa Rica.

The operation will begin on Saturday 13 June and end on Saturday 15 August. The flight will depart at 8 a.m. from Dallas Fort Worth Airport and arrive at Daniel Oduber Quirós at 11:05 a.m.

Los Angeles - Costa Rica Nonstop Flight

December 2015

From April 2016 the airline Southwest will operate a daily frequency between Los Angeles International Airport and Liberia, in the tourist province of Guanacaste.

The US-based airline said that flights will start operating in April 2016, and the tickets will be on sale earlier this year, but they are still waiting for approval from the government of Costa Rica.

Direct Flights Panama - Liberia in Costa Rica

Copa Airlines has inaugurated its Panama – Liberia flight, but it is not yet possible to book flights between these locations on the airline’s website.
