Spanish Real Estate companies doing business in Panama

While the housing crisis in Spain deepens, Panama has became the new destination for Spanish real estate companies.

Alfa Real Estate is the last Spanish to invest in Panama, with an ambitious plan of office space infrastructure bound to the economic activity of the Panama Canal.
Alfa joins other Spanish companies already operating in the country, like Marina d'Or.
Many entrepreneurs from Spain, specially those from Valencia and the Basque Country, want to emulate the touristic model of the Levante coast in Panama.

$5 million Residential Project in Honduras

July 2013

In the northwest of the city construction will take place of Ciudad Maya, a luxury residential complex which integrates a commercial area, a corporate area, an apartment building, and other recreational areas.

William Hall, a member of Inmobiliaria del Valle (Invalle), and project manager, said one of its additional attractions is that it will have a road bridge which will provide singular access to the complex.

Via Tertia Invests $59 Million in Building Projects

The economic crisis led the Spanish company to expand its real estate projects in Panama, where it will build two residential projects.

One project will be done in Nuevo Arraiján and it will have 600 housing units. In the other one, in La Chorrera, the real estate developer Via Tertia will construct 950 homes.

Major Real Estate Projects Announced in Costa Rica

Shopping centers and hotels in the city and on the coast are part of the new projects planned for this year and 2015.

Four commercial and mixed-use projects are predicted to boost the sector in 2015. These are City Mall, City Place in Santa Ana, Ocean Mall in Puntarenas and Jacó Beach Walk in in Jaco beach.

Costa Rica: $56 million in Residential Projects

Vertical and horizontal residential condominiums in the provinces of San José, Heredia and Cartago are some of the projects for which environmental impact studies were submitted in May 2016.

The report "Construction projects in Costa Rica in May 2016"  prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at, provides an updated list of major construction projects for which environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies were submitted to the National Environmental Technical Secretariat (SETENA) in May.
