Solar Investment Announced

During business meetings in Guatemala, the Spanish groups Gran Solar and Ortiz announced investments of $ 110 million in solar plants.

Since yesterday, a Spanish trade mission led by Spanish Secretary of State for Trade has been holding business meetings with Guatemalan businessmen.

Prensalibre.com reports that "Grupo Gran Solar and Grupo Ortiz announced yesterday that they will build solar power plants of 5 MW and 50 MW respectively, with an investment of nearly $110 million."

The visiting Spanish companies represent sectors such as fuel, utilities, telecommunications, construction and forestry, renewable energy production, restaurants, ventilation, logistics, transport, textiles and agribusiness.
