Small Business Assistance Program begins in Nicaragua

The program, implemented by the Producers and Exporters Association, will be used to finance diagnostics and provide technical assistance to 100 small businesses.

Laprensa.com.ni reports: "The Small Businesses that will receive the assistance must be from the following sectors: diary, meat, live animals, fruits and vegetables, live plants, fish, etc.

For a small business to be able to opt for the assistance they must be legally registered, have been duly constituted for at least three years and have yearly sales less than $3 million.

Training for Salvadoran Exporters

The AgroCAFTA project aims to increase the competitiveness of SMEs that export.

The Corporation of Salvadoran Exporters (Coexport), the organization that is promoting the project in the country, aims to train SMEs in the technical requirements of exporting.

La Prensa Grafica of El Salvador published: "The project is financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with a contribution of $3.8 million which includes the entire region and seeks development in three areas: technical assistance, financing and training."

Panama: Support program for exporters launched

The projects seeks to train small and medium business owners how to comply with environmental requirements and sanitary and phytosanitary measure for exporting.

The training will be done through courses and workshops on technical regulations and environmental certifications, efficiency and energy-saving, assembling of export distribution chains, etc.
