Sitel Expands Call Center Presence in Nicaragua

The outsourcing and administrative services provider announced it is opening an additional call center in Managua.

The new call center will serve American English and Spanish speaking consumers.

The 1,951 m2 facility will add more than 450 agents to the established Sitel base in Nicaragua, thus reaching a total of nearly 3,000 employees in the country. The facilities will be ready to be occupied in December 2010 and Sitel expects the initial call during the first quarter of 2011.

Sitel established presence in Nicaragua in 2008 providing technical support and customer service to Fortune 1,000 companies in the areas of wireless, consumer electronics, media, banking and other financial product lines.

The company has announced it will reduce the number of its customer service centers from 11-3 , and in Guatemala it has hired BPO services from Xerox.

The firm Xerox will be responsible for business process outsourcing (BPO) services for Guatemala where it is projected that 215 jobs will be created.

Stream Starts Operating in Nicaragua

Stream Global Services, a Call Center company, began operating after merging with eTelecare.

$2.7 million were invested in the company’s new offices at Ofiplaza building, which employ 600 workers.

Stream Expands to El Salvador

November 2009

Stream Global Services, a company focusing on Call Center Services, will install in El Salvador its main operations center for Latin America.

Rodolfo Salazar, Marketing Manager, reported that the company expects to hire 1.000 employees before the end of 2009.

He added: "...we may expand in the country if it remains competitive, and the Government contributes to generate the conditions for having more English speakers and other abilities for the various 'outsourcing' services offered by Stream", reports
