Hotels Keep Opening in Costa Rica

Eleven new hotels will open this year and the next, adding 1,550 rooms to the current 44,752.

Of the eleven openings, eight are located in the greater metropolitan area and the rest are in the province of Guanacaste.

With an investment of $15 million, the opening of the 128 room Courtyard by Marriott is planned for next month in Alajuela.

According to records of the Costa Rica Tourist Board (ICT) the City Express in Cariari, Heredia, will open at around the same date.

During 2013 four new hotels targeting executive tourism will come into operation.

"One of them is the Park Inn, in the Don Bosco neighbourhood, developed by Hogares de Costa Rica. Its construction will cost about $16 million and it is expected that operations will start next January. The other one is Hyatt Place, located in the commercial complex Momentum Pinares in Curridabat, which will be developed by Sinergo Development Group", reports Elfinancierocr.com
