Salvadoran Exports to Taiwan Up 60%

$12 million were exported to the Asian Country in the first half of 2009, 60% more than last year.

El Salvador's first sugar shipment is one of the factors explaining this increase, said Claudia Rodríguez, Economy Ministry spokesperson.

She also told newspaper La Prensa Gráfica that "one of the economic sectors most benefited by this increase is the Small and Medium Enterprises...".

Salvadoran Exports Up 5.6%

August 2013

During the first six months of 2013 foreign sales totaled $2.822 billion, $151 million more than in the same period in 2012.

From a press release issued by the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador:

Total exports to June of this year amounted to $2822.2 million, up $150.6 million compared to the same period in 2012, the growth rate was 5.6% per year, with a gradual recovering its dynamism, informed the Office of Economic Studies and Statistics of the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador.

Salvadoran Exports to Taiwan Soar

In the first three months of 2011 sales totaled $27.6 million, compared to $1.9 million in the same period in 2010.

Three years after signing the free trade agreement between the two countries, sales of Salvadoran products to China have exceeded all expectations.

In comparison between the first quarter of 2011 and the same period of 2010, sales to Taiwan have increased by over 1000%.

Salvadoran exports to Taiwan increase 79%

EXPORTA attributes the increase to the free trade agreement with the island, which has been in effect for 7 months as yesterday.

From March to August of this year, El Salvador increase its exports to Taiwan by 79%, Eugenia Yang, economic adviser at the Taiwanese Embassy in the country, reported.

Costa Rica Increases Exports

March 2012

In the first two months of 2012, total exports reached $1,710 million, which is 10.5% more than in the same period in 2011.

A statement from PROCOMER reads:

Costa Rica exported $1.71 billion in goods during the first two months of 2012

This represents a 10.5% increase compared to the same period in 2011.
