Clothing and Accessories: New store in Costa Rica

The American clothing and accessories brand Banana Republic opened its first store on Avenida Escazú and has a 300 square meter customer service area.

AR Holdings, administrator of the franchise, reported that this is the first of several stores that the conglomerate plans to open in the coming years in the region, specifically in Guatemala, Panama and the Dominican Republic.

Antonio Burgos, director of AR Holdings, told Elobservador.cr that they are "... very proud to partner with Banana Republic to offer current and trendy fashion in Costa Rica, and we are excited to introduce the brand to loyal fans and new consumers alike."

The article adds that "... The store in Costa Rica will open with the Spring 2020 collection and will include clothing, footwear and accessories for men and women. Customers will be able to purchase the same collections at the store on Avenida Escazú that are available at Banana Republic stores worldwide."

CentralAmericaData reports that in the first nine months of 2019 the main importer of clothing and accessories in Central America was Panama with $316 million, followed by El Salvador with $201 million, Costa Rica with $190 million, Guatemala with $152 million, Honduras with $95 million and Nicaragua with $27 million.
