A statement issued by Coalianza regarding the award did not report on the amount of the winning bid, data which was requested by CentralAmericaData.COM and supplied by the Chief of Press at Coalianza, who noted that the award to the company Eterna was "... in the amount of 96 million 800 thousand lempiras annual repayment fee " ($ 4.6 million).

Panama: $88 Million Road Works Awarded

A contract has been awarded to Constructora MECO for the design, construction and maintenance of works for the renovation of the Transístmica highway, section Plaza Agora - San Isidro Station.

The companies that took part in the tender for the renovation of a stretch of approximately 10 kilometers were Constructora MECO, Sacyr Construcción, Constructora Urbana and Conalvias Construcciones, with offers of $88 million, $86 million, $87 million and $90 million, respectively.
